Consultations
Your first consultation is a process of listening to your needs, informing you of the opportunities available and allowing you to make choices in formulating a treatment plan. At the consultation, your mouth and related structures will be examined, and photos, x-rays and models of your teeth can be taken if required. When all the necessary information has been gathered and analysed, a treatment plan can be tailored for you. You should feel free to ask questions and take care to understand all aspects of your proposed treatment.

Surgical Care

Implant placement involves surgery which is usually provided for with the use of intravenious sedation to place the patient into a comfortable and relaxed state. The instructions relating to the surgical care are given once the treatment plan is confirmed. This includes advice and management of surgical aftercare.

Restorative Care

A restorative plan is made before implant treatment commences. This aspect of care includes any temporisation to restore the smile while treatment is undertaken through to the completion of the final teeth.

Maintenance

Implants can be considered to be artificial teeth, and like teeth they need to be looked after. You will be instructed in how to clean and care for your implants and you will require periodic dental review much the same as for looking after natural teeth. This can be provided for at the Dental Implant Centre, or with your regular family dentist.
