What can go wrong?
Any surgical procedure carries a small degree of risk of bleeding, post operative pain, infection and damage to adjacent tissues. Implant surgery is for most situations considered minor surgery and these risks are therefore minor in scale and rare in occurrence. There is the potential for an implant to be unsuccessful but extensive research has shown that over 95% of implants are successful and lead to many years of patient satisfaction. The specific risks for each patient will be discussed with the patient as part of the consent consultation process. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions during your care.
